(Red Deer, Alberta) – The annual Mayor’s Garden Party is scheduled for Wednesday, June 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in City Hall Park.
All citizens are invited to join Mayor Morris Flewwelling for an afternoon of entertainment and refreshments. The afternoon will feature a visual artist painting in the midst of the garden party and hosts and hostesses dressed in Edwardian costume.
Entertainer Bob Shortt will offer up a blend of Irish, Scottish, Maritime and Canadian songs starting at 2:10 p.m.
Refreshments reminiscent of Edwardian garden parties will be served, including desserts, coffee, tea and lemonade.
Citizens are advised that parking along Ross Street between 48 Avenue and 49 Avenue will be limited for the duration of the Mayor’s Garden Party.
In the event of inclement weather, the Mayor’s Garden Party will be hosted inside the Collicutt Centre.
