New traffic lights at Timothy Drive and 30 Avenue

(Red Deer, Alberta) – The City of Red Deer has installed a new set of traffic signals at Timothy Drive (Crossley Street) and 30 Avenue. The new signals will begin operating on Thursday, June 24, 2010.

Starting Tuesday, June 22, yellow and red lights will flash at this intersection to alert motorists of the new signals. This will continue until the signals are fully operational on June 24.

Drivers approaching a flashing yellow signal may proceed through the intersection with caution. Drivers approaching a flashing red signal must stop, observe the right of way and proceed when safe.

Pedestrians and drivers are asked to be aware of this new signal and use caution in the area.
