Monday's City Council meeting moved to 1 p.m. - Revised

May 14, 2010


(Red Deer, Alberta) – Monday’s City Council meeting will be starting two hours earlier. Council passed a resolution on May 3, 2010 to change the start time of Council on Monday, May 17 to 1 p.m. instead of the usual start time of 3 p.m. Media will be allowed to set up equipment at 1 p.m. although shortly after that, Council will be meeting in camera until 2:30 p.m. 

There are a large number of items to be dealt with at the May 17 Council meeting, as City Councillors will be away attending the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Conference in Toronto at the end of May.

The next City Council meeting will take place on Monday, June 14, 2010, at 3 p.m.
