(Red Deer, Alberta) – Red Deerians looking to beat the heat or add some high diving excitement to their lives will be in luck on May 29, when swimmers will again be able to use the famous five metre diving tower at the Recreation Centre’s outdoor pool.
The diving tower, which will be back in operation when the outdoor pool reopens for the season on May 29, is popular with people of all ages, as it offers swimmers the choice of diving from the one or three metre diving boards or climbing to the top and diving from the five metre platform.
Tammy Greba, Recreation Centre Complex Coordinator with The City, believes that the diving tower is just one of many things to enjoy at the outdoor pool this summer. “There are lots of other amenities in this facility for Red Deerians to enjoy as well: the children’s wading pool, slide and spray features, the six-lane 50-metre pool, and, of course, lots of new deck chairs to lounge in.”
Weather permitting, the outdoor pool schedule will be as follows from May 29 to June 28:

“The Recreation Centre’s outdoor pool has long been the perfect place to cool off when the summer sun starts shining,” said Greba. “We’re excited that, this year, the open-air pool will be even more inviting when it reopens on May 29 with the diving tower back in operation.”
