(Red Deer, Alberta) – Beginning Friday, November 5, Sorensen Station will be operational for daily and monthly parking. Daily parking is available on the 1st level (P1) and can be paid by cash, Visa or MasterCard at the machine, located on Level P1 of the parkade.
“The City has installed temporary parking equipment while we await the arrival of the daily parking equipment,” said Fred Dieno, Parking Coordinator with The City of Red Deer. “The equipment has taken longer than we expected, so we have put in place a temporary solution for daily parking until the “pay on foot” equipment can be installed.”
The Inspections & Licensing department is accepting parkade applications for any individuals who are interested in obtaining monthly parking. Information can be found on The City’s website at www.reddeer.ca or by calling 403-342-8185.
Parking rates for daily and monthly parking are:
- Daily parking is $.75 per hour.
- Monthly parking is $80 per month plus GST for a total monthly cost of $84.
- A non-refundable fee of $20 will be charged for the purchase or replacement of the hangtag and/or access card.
The parkade will offer over 400 stalls to serve residents and downtown businesses. In addition to providing more parking, the parkade will allow for expanded Transit office space and kiosk retail opportunities in the northwest corner.
