City invites Fee for Service funding applications
October 1, 2010
(Red Deer, Alberta) – The City of Red Deer’s Culture section is now accepting Fee for Service applications from not-for-profit arts and cultural organizations in Red Deer for the 2011 funding year.
The Fee for Service program offers assistance and support to arts and cultural organizations that clearly demonstrate a need for financial support.
Eligibility information and application forms may be downloaded at
www.reddeer.ca/culture
by clicking on the “Fee for Service program” tab. They may also be picked up at the Culture Services Centre located at 3827 39 Street. Hours of operation are between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Please note, the Culture Services Centre is closed from noon to 1 p.m. daily.
The deadline for applications is Friday, December 3, 2010, at 4:30 p.m. Applications should be delivered to the Culture Services Centre. Please note that the deadline is strictly adhered to; late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
The Fee for Service program is designed to help organizations build their capacity to provide a service, to manage an arts facility, to provide facility management services to the citizens of Red Deer, to act as an umbrella organization for arts or cultural organizations, or to encourage those groups and organizations that are developing new programming services for arts and culture. This program is made possible with the kind support of the Red Deer and District Community Foundation who review and judge the applications.
Organizations may contact Kristina Öberg, Culture Superintendent, at 403-309-2637 before the deadline to discuss their eligibility.
