Secondary suites survey asks for resident’s feedback

(Red Deer, Alberta) – Starting Friday, September 24, The City’s Inspection & Licensing department is asking residents for their feedback on secondary suite regulations that came into effect in December 2009.
“As The City continues to process large volumes of secondary suite development permit applications, it seems appropriate, now is the best time to have residents provide their feedback on secondary suite regulations before we review the bylaw,” said Beth McLachlan of Inspections & Licensing.
Council asked administration to review the existing secondary suite regulations, obtain public feedback on the development of secondary suites and provided recommendations on potential amendments to the secondary suite regulations before the one year mark.
