Collicutt Centre unveils donated art

December 22, 2011

The Collicutt Centre is home to The City’s latest art pieces, with the donation of “The Ladybug Celebration”.

“The Ladybug Celebration” is an interactive hide and seek activity consisting of 43 tiled ladybugs hidden throughout the Collicutt Centre. The final tiles were installed at the beginning of December and Red Deerians are encouraged to discover all the ladybugs in the facility.

Designed by Voyageur Art & Tile, “The Ladybug Celebration” was donated by friends of Dawnine Jackson to The City of Red Deer.

Dawnine, a member of the Collicutt Centre’s aquatic team, passed away unexpectedly in the spring of 2011. Her influence, hard work and leadership contributed to the Collicutt Centre’s aquatic programs and success.
