The 2011 Red Deer Community Sport Awards and Banquet, presented by the Red Deer Primary Care Network, will take place on Saturday, February 26. Tickets cost $25 each and will be available for purchase at the Recreation Centre starting today, January 28.
Red Deer’s Community Sport Awards honour those individuals and groups who excel in their sport and also those who volunteer their time and effort to better our community. The event will be held at the Capri Hotel and Convention Centre in Red Deer. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.
The public is also reminded that today is the deadline to nominate a coach, official, volunteer, athlete or business supporter to be recognized at the event. The public can submit their votes online at www.reddeer.ca.
