Title sponsor for 2011 Red Deer Community Sports Awards and Banquet announced
January 12, 2011
The City of Red Deer and the Sport Council of Red Deer (SCORD) are proud to announce the Red Deer Primary Care Network as the title sponsor for the 2011 Red Deer Community Sports Awards and Banquet.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Red Deer Primary Care Network as sponsor of the 2011 Red Deer Community Sports Awards and Banquet,” said Rob Meckling, Program & Community Facilitator with The City of Red Deer. “This partnership is a great fit as their organization emphasizes the importance of health promotion, and this event showcases deserving individuals and teams in the sport community who embody this principle.”
The Red Deer Primary Care Network is a partnership between 66 local family doctors and Alberta Health Services (AHS). They work to provide comprehensive and continuous care to patients in the Red Deer community. The Red Deer Primary Care Network aims to improve access to primary care, provide coordinated care, increase emphasis on health promotion and disease and injury prevention, and improve coordination and integration of care using multidisciplinary teams.
The 2011 Red Deer Community Sport Awards and Banquet will be held on Saturday, February 26, at the Capri Hotel and Convention Centre. The Community Sports Awards and Banquet honour those individuals and groups who excel in their sport and/or volunteer their time and effort to better our community. Red Deerians are encouraged to nominate a coach, official, volunteer, athlete or business supporter to be recognized at the Red Deer Community Sports Awards and Banquet by voting online at
http://scord.ca/awards.htm
. Nominations are open until Friday, January 21, 2011.
