A new Officer In Charge has been appointed to the Red Deer City RCMP. Warren Dosko has 24 years of service with the RCMP.
After advertizing the position across the RCMP and holding a panel with candidates on September 7, Dosko was announced as The City’s new Superintendant.
Dosko’s career has taken him from his home town of Craik, Saskatchewan to northern British Columbia, the Northwest Territories and most recently St. Albert, Alberta.
Following recruit training in Regina, Saskatchewan, Dosko was posted to Smithers, British Columbia for the first five years his career. He was then posted to Fort Liard, Northwest Territories for four years. Upon completion of his tour of duty in “G” Division, he returned to policing in British Columbia and over the next 11 years served in the communities of Sicamous, Vanderhoof, Tsay Keh, Prince George, Princeton, 100 Mile House, and Terrace.
Starting with general duty service, his experience includes assignments as an Investigator/Supervisor in a General Investigation Section (GIS), a Detachment Commander at the ranks of Corporal, Sergeant, and Staff Sergeant, and as an Advisory NCO at North District in “E” Division.
On May 10, 2007, Warren Dosko was appointed to the rank of Inspector and was given the responsibility of overseeing RCMP operations at the St. Albert Detachment, St Albert, Alberta.
Dosko and his family are looking forward to living in Red Deer.
