Area Redevelopment Plans

An Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP) is a neighbourhood based municipal planning tool used to guide redevelopment and/or changes to an existing developed neighbourhood or defined area. It is generally intended to address improvements and/or change in a neighbourhood such as traffic, zoning, land use and social and environmental issues as identified by area residents or stakeholders. Area redevelopment plans are prepared by The City of Red Deer in consultation with the applicable neighbourhood and require City Council approval.
