Integrated Movement Study
So what moves you Red Deer?
You go here, there and everywhere on any given day, but now, we want you to get specific, and tell us what that looks like for you. Where, how, when and why do you move the way you do in our city. What do you like, think and feel about walking around Red Deer, riding your bike around town, taking transit or driving around our city streets?
Moving together
The City has launched the
Integrated Movement Study
to look at how Red Deerians move in the city today, and how we want to move and live as we continue to grow. The City will engage residents, community groups and key stakeholders to understand what you think about bicycling, taking transit, walking and driving in the city today and how we plan for what will move us in the future.
Integration and engaging Red Deerians is one key goal of this project. Looking at policies, procedures, best practices from around the world and the attitudes and choices of the community, we will share learning opportunities to build our understanding of what options are true to Red Deer. The City needs to facilitate the many choices available to Red Deerians as they move throughout our community. Whether it be biking, taking transit, walking or driving, The City will look at providing opportunities for people to move differently though the city.
