News Release - Environmental Services moving to new Civic Yards

(Red Deer, Alberta) – On Friday, April 3, 2009, City of Red Deer staff in the Environmental Services department will move to the new Civic Yards located at 7721 40 Avenue. The new Civic Yards replaces several existing facilities with one main facility that can accommodate future growth and decreases The City’s overall ecological footprint.

Environmental Services is the second of five departments moving over the coming months. Other departments include: Public Works; Transit; and Electric Light and Power. Last week, Parks was the first department to move to the new Civic Yards.

Although most phone numbers for City staff that are moving will remain the same, new numbers may be added. The main contact numbers for departments will not change.

Vendors who have contracts with moving departments must ensure deliveries are made to the new Civic Yards address once the department moves.

Currently The City does not anticipate any delay in service while the Environmental Services division relocates.
