New Release - Parks first of City departments moving to new Civic Yards

(Red Deer, Alberta) – On Friday, March 27, 2009, City of Red Deer staff in the Parks division will move to the new Civic Yards located at 7721 40 Avenue. The new Civic Yards replaces several existing facilities with one main facility that can accommodate future growth and decreases The City’s overall ecological footprint.

Parks are the first of seven departments moving over the coming months. Other departments include: Public Works; Environmental Services; Transit; Materiels Management; Electric Light and Power and Ecological Services.

Although most phone numbers for City staff that are moving will remain the same, some may be added because of the increase in offices. The main contact number for all departments will not change.

Currently The City does not anticipate any delay in service while the Parks division relocates.
