Communities in Bloom
Communities in Bloom is a Canadian beautification program that provides information and education, and awards bloom ratings (1 - 5 blooms) to towns and cities for achievement in the following eight theme areas:
The City of Red Deer was the Communities in Bloom Provincial Champion in both 2001and 2002, and was named Provincial Champion for 2003. The Greater Red Deer Communities In Bloom Committee is a local group of committed volunteers, representing The City of Red Deer and immediate surrounding County of Red Deer area, that provide leadership to enhance the beauty, health, pride and overall quality of life in the community. They meet at Red Deer City Hall on the first Thursday of each month.
