Gaetz Avenue Revitalization

The City of Red Deer is working with ISL Engineering and Land Services to design and prepare streetscape upgrades for a downtown section of Gaetz Avenue from 46 street to 53 street. The project will create consistent and quality streetscape improvements to foster a unique pedestrian-oriented business and cultural space.

The City and ISL Engineering and Land Services have surveyed business owners along this stretch of Gaetz Avenue to find out about current issues or opportunities related to safety, amenities, traffic / parking, and pedestrian experiences in the area. Now, The City is looking for public feedback on the plans.

On August 4, The City and ISL will be hosting a public open house, where citizens can review the  design concept, ask questions, and provide their input into the future of Gaetz Avenue.

Date:            August 4, 2010
Time:           Drop in between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Location:     The Scott Block
                    4816 50 avenue
                    Red Deer, AB

If you are unable to come to the open house, have a look at the design concept and fill out our  survey to let us know what you think.
