Disaster Recovery Programs

2010 Central Alberta Disaster Recovery Program (DRP)

In September 2010, the Government of Alberta approved $7,000,000.00 for a Disaster Recovery Program (DRP) to assist residents in the City of Red Deer and seven other communities who were impacted by severe rainfall events that occurred between July 10-20, 2010.

In order to apply to this DRP, residents must first:

  • Contact their insurance company to determine whether the damage is covered under a residential home insurance policy.
  • Obtain an insurance letter from their insurance company indicating that the damage IS NOT covered.

To apply for assistance under the 2010 Central Alberta DRP, call the DRP Office directly at 1-888-671-1111.
