The City of Red Deer Emergency Management Program provides coordination, leadership and expertise in relation to emergency mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.
Emergency Management is responsible for developing and maintaining the City of Red Deer Emergency Plan, ensuring compliance with the provincial Emergency Management Act, and managing corporate Business Continuity Planning (BCP) to ensure that City programs and services are resilient and redundant in the face of emergency events.
The Emergency Management Program represents the City locally, regionally, provincially and nationally on matters related to Emergency Management and Business Continuity.
