Red Deer Arena Replacement

  • Budget 2016 - Red Deer ArenaThe Red Deer Arena is The City’s main spectator arena with seating up to 1,588 patrons.
  • The arena will be used for the 2019 Canada Winter Games being hosted in Red Deer. In order to build a new facility in time for the games, planning for a new arena began in 2015 with construction scheduled for completion in 2018.
  • Replacing the arena is the most financially viable solution as the cost to renovate the arena over the next 10 years would cost just slightly less than the current value of the existing building.
