Report Graffiti

Graffiti is a crime that impacts everyone. We need your help to recognize it, report it and remove it. Help us reduce the amount of graffiti in Red Deer and make our community graffiti free.

What to do if your home or business is tagged

The City is working with the Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre (CACPC) to help fight graffiti.

If you have been tagged with graffiti, you can contact the CACPC at 403-986-9904 or info@cacpc.ca for support and low-cost solutions to help remove it. They can also help you prevent it from happening again.

The CACPC asks you to document the graffiti by using their Report Graffiti Form so they can document and track the problem. The online tool allows you to upload pictures as well.

What to do if you see another home, business, or public property tagged

As part of the Community Standards Bylaw 3669/2021 (pdf) , The City requires graffiti to be removed within 14 days. After 14 days, property owners can be fined for violating this bylaw resulting in a $250 fine.

To report a property that is not yours with graffiti on it, please contact The City of Red Deer’s Compliance Officers at 403-342-8328. You can leave a message 24 hours a day. Calls can be anonymous.

You will be asked for:

  • your name
  • contact information
  • location of graffiti
  • how long the graffiti has been in place

Thank you for working with us to make Red Deer graffiti free.
