Welcome to the office of Mayor Tara Veer. Tara was elected as Mayor in October 2013 after serving two terms as a Red Deer City Councillor.

Red Deer City Council meets every two weeks, on Mondays. Agendas are prepared for each meeting of City Council and are available to the public on the Friday before each council meeting.

Red Deer’s population continues to grow according to the 2014 municipal census results. From 2013 to 2014, 1,476 new residents decided to call Red Deer home, an increase of 1.5 per cent.

Traffic disruptions on 67 Street...

The construction in the westbound lanes of the 67 Street bridge will no longer affect commuters during peak travel times. Construction will be halted from 6:30 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. allowing both westbound lanes to be open.
