Taylor Drive Concept Plan - 43 St to Ross St

The Greater Downtown Action Plan (GDAP) recommendations 15 and 16 highlight the importance of improved street connections at Taylor Drive and Alexander Way. The recommendations proposed a pedestrian promenade and the need to create a strong sense of arrival in the downtown rather than roadways being a means to travel through the downtown

Some of the key elements of the Taylor Drive Concept Plan: 43 Street to Ross Street, include a pedestrian promenade from Alexander Way crossing Taylor Drive on the south side of the intersection, as well as roadway changes on Taylor Drive to provide a smooth connection and accommodate traffic flow now and in the future.

Construction on the Taylor Drive Improvements Project began in 2014. Details on the project and regular updates are posted on our Construction Season website
