Heating Permits

You will need a heating permit for the installation of any HVAC or hydronic heating system.

Who can apply?

Only a licensed heating contractor can apply for a heating permit for the installation of any HVAC or hydronic heating system.

How do I apply?

You can apply for your permit online using MyPermits or fill out a paper application and submit it in person on the third floor of City Hall between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or email it to inspections@reddeer.ca.

What inspections will I need?

You will need at least two Safety Code inspections during the course of your heating installation:

  1. A rough-in inspection before concealing any work
  2. A final inspection when all equipment and controls are installed and operational

You will be required to correct all deficiencies. Re-inspection fees or other penalties may apply.
