Red Deer RCMP look for suspect after personal robbery

Red Deer, Alberta – Red Deer RCMP are looking for public assistance to identify the suspect who robbed a man at knifepoint the afternoon of October 16.

At approximately 5 pm on October 16, the victim interrupted a male suspect in the act of stealing items from his vehicle while it was parked at an outbuilding on the grounds of Red Deer College. The victim was able to recover his items from the thief, but the suspect then pulled a knife and demanded cash. He took a small amount of cash from the victim and rode away on a bicycle, heading east toward Taylor Drive.

The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 5’8” to 5’10” tall
  • average build
  • in his twenties
  • scruffy facial hair
  • wearing a red baseball cap and a puffy jacket, riding a white mountain bike
