Happening June 3-15, 2016

June 3, 2016 8:50 AM

The roundabout and Range Road 272 (30 Avenue north of the roundabout) closed on May 30 for crews to add the final lift of asphalt to the new roadways and complete the permanent lane markings. Vehicles will need to detour using Highway 11, Range Road 271 and Township Road 390. The City is maintaining the detour route, and on June 1, crews graded the full detour route and applied dust suppressant.

Once the final lift of asphalt is completed (mid-June, weather dependent), traffic on 67 Street will switch from the eastbound lanes to the westbound lanes, with traffic being directed through the roundabout:

  • The roundabout will be one lane in each direction.
  • Drivers will access the roundabout on a temporary road off the 67 Street/30 Avenue bend.
  • A right turn lane from eastbound 67 Street will be available for traffic going south on 30 Avenue.
  • Drivers are reminded to follow all traffic signs in the area. To learn more about driving in a roundabout, visit

Carleton Avenue at 67 Street

Crews are continuing to connect the 67 Street with Carleton Avenue, with line painting and traffic light installation expected to be complete in the next two weeks. The closure at Carleton Avenue will continue until July 2016. Access into Clearview Ridge and Clearview Market is from Carrington Drive. All businesses are open during construction.

67 Street, east of the roundabout

67 Street (Township Road 384) east of the roundabout to Threfall Gate remains closed for road construction. Access to Timberlands and the school site will be provided only from the east via Township Road 384 and Range Road 271.
