Resources for Older Drivers

To stop driving is a complicated decision for anyone to make. For senior citizens, it can lead to feelings of a loss of freedom and independence. There are also benefits to not driving, however; it can mean freedom from the concerns of fast moving traffic, icy roads in the winter, and the costs of maintaining a vehicle.

  • Help them get familiar with transit. Trying something new can be intimidating for anyone, but it's easier when you've got moral support. Why not hop on the bus with a senior in your life, and try it out together?
