"The late Marjorie and Kerry Wood lived for a number of years high above the Red Deer River canyon east of Red Deer. I was invited by them to explore the extensive old growth forest that spilled down the canyon below their home. The beauty and power of this spiritual place left me in awe... Ravine Darkening is my interpretation of the waning forest light deep in the canyon ravine." D.M.
