Green Deer Challenge

The 2018 Green Deer campaign is April 2 until June 3. During this time, volunteers from businesses, community associations, schools, clubs, churches, families and individuals come together to clean up our city.

Why Register?

If you’re cleaning up your neighbourhood or favourite green space, don't forget to register with us. People are encouraged to register so Green Deer organizers can distribute cleaning supplies, track the areas that have been cleaned and recognize volunteer work.

What's in it for me?

By participating in the Green Deer program, either with a team or individually, you will play an important role in creating a cleaner, healthier community we can all be proud of. Plus, everyone who registers is entered in a draw to win a BBQ (donated by Canadian Tire), a BBQ event (hosted by Zed 98.9 & Real Country 95.5), and food supplied by Save-On Foods.

How to Register?

In person: Recreation Centre, Collicutt Centre, G.H. Dawe Centre or Kerry Wood Nature Centre.

Green Deer Challange Toolkits

There’s nothing like a little friendly rivalry to get your Green Deer team working even harder, and having more fun doing it. Who could you challenge? A business rival? A group in your community? An opposing sports team? It could even be as simple as encouraging your neighbours to take part in a 15 minute challenge. The possibilities are endless – the key is to have fun with them.

Getting started is easy. Print and fill out the challenge form information. Deliver the challenge to your contender: Green Deer Challenge Toolkit (pdf)
