Canada Post Disruption

We are continuing to use regular mail service, but we're monitoring the situation. In the event of a postal disruption, here's what you need to know:

Getting mail to the City during a mail disruption

The City will set up temporary drop box locations in City recreation facilities. These locations will be signed and secure. We will collect all mail that is addressed to The City of Red Deer at the following locations: 

  • City Hall (4914 - 48 Avenue)
  • G.H. Dawe Centre (56 Holt Street)
  • Collicutt Centre (3031 - 30 Avenue)
  • Michener Centre (51a St and 38 Ave)
  • The Recreation Centre (4501 - 47A Ave) 

Getting information about utility accounts

Utility payments are still due on time. Customers can get information and outstanding balances on their utility accounts by: 

  • logging onto www.reddeer.ca/mycity to sign up for e-billing or preauthorized withdrawal (PAWs);
  • calling The City’s utility billing service centre at 403-342-8203; or,
  • coming to City Hall in person between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. 

Paying utility bills

Utility Bills are still due on time, and late payments are subject to penalties even though there is a disruption in mail delivery service. During the mail disruption, customers can pay their utility bills in the following ways: 

  • Through preauthorized withdrawal (PAWs)
  • At your bank
  • Online Banking
  • Telephone Banking
  • At City Hall between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • At temporary drop box locations in City recreation facilities
