Approximately 30 homes on Mitchell Avenue, McBride Crescent, McIntosh Avenue and Meeres Close, along with Annie L. Gaetz School, are under a boil water advisory until further notice following a series of water leaks.
The water was turned off in the area this morning while crews began repairs. Repairs are expected to be completed later today.
Once water is restored, residents are asked to boil their water for drinking, cooking, washing food, or brushing teeth. The water can be made safe by boiling it for at least one minute at a rolling boil. Boiling water should be stored in a clean container in the refrigerator. Alternatively, bottled water can be used. More information can be found on Boil water advisory.
The City has notified affected residents door to door. When the boil water advisory is lifted, staff will notify residents once again.
