Boil water advisory for parts of Eastview

May 19, 2016 7:38 PM
(Red Deer, Alberta)

Approximately 60 homes on Eversole, Elder, Ebert and England are under a boil water advisory until further notice following a water leak.

The water was turned off in the area while crews began repairs late Thursday afternoon and into the evening.

Once water is restored, residents are asked to boil their water for drinking, cooking, washing food, or brushing teeth. The water can be made safe by boiling it for at least one minute at a rolling boil. Boiled water should be stored in a clean container in the refrigerator. Alternatively, bottled water can be used. More information can be found on reddeer.ca.

The City has notified affected residents door to door. When the boil water advisory is lifted, staff will notify residents once again.
