Last month’s building permits exceed November 2016 values

The value of building permits last month surpassed the total for November 2016.

There were 90 permits issued last month for a value of $34.9 million, compared to 122 permits issued in November 2016 for a value of $29.8 million.

Values for public sector permits outpaced last year’s values, with permits valued at $8.5 million in November, compared to $128,250 last November.

Notable projects included building permits for a five storey residence at Red Deer College campus, valued at $14.7 million; a three storey medical office building at 4132 50 Avenue, valued at $5 million; and renovations, valued at $6.5 million, to the former Central Elementary School at 5205 48 Avenue for the new location of The City of Red Deer’s Culture Services Centre, currently at 3827 39 Street.
