Street sweeping crews made great progress on arterial roads and will move onto residential streets tomorrow.
Crews will complete sweeping on arterial boulevards, medians and adjacent sidewalks today.
Residents are asked to obey the ‘no parking’ signs when they appear on their street and to sweep sidewalks adjacent to their property before street sweeping begins. This will ensure that the street sweeper can pick up that additional sand and dust.
Grey Routes (residential streets) will be swept first in the following sequence:
Garden Heights, Clearview Ridge, College Park, Timberlands, Timberstone, Rosedale Meadows, Rosedale Estates, Clearview Meadows, Michener Hill, Waskasoo, Woodlea, Parkvale, Grandview, Mountview, Eastview, Eastview Estates, Dear Park Village, Davenport, Devonshire, Deer Park Estates, Morrisroe Extension, Morrisroe, Sunnybrook, Anders Park, Anders Park East, Anders South, Aspen Ridge, Lancaster Green, Lancaster Meadows, Lonsdale, Vanier East, Vanier Woods, Ironstone, Inglewood West, Sunnybrook South, Bower, South Hill, Westlake, West Park, Pines, Kingsgate, Kentwood East, Kentwood West, Johnstone Crossing, Johnstone Park, Glendale, Glendale Park Estates, Normandeau, Highland Green Estates, Highland Green, Oriole Park, Oriole Park West, Fairview, Riverside Meadows.
Once local residential streets are swept, crews will return to sweep Green Routes (collector roads and bus routes) in the same above sequence.
On Tuesday, May 2, crews will be sweeping in Garden Heights, Clearview Ridge, College Park, Timberlands, Timberstone, Rosedale Meadows, Rosedale Estates and Clearview Meadows.
On Wednesday, May 3, crews will be sweeping in Michener Hill, Waskasoo, Woodlea, Parkvale, Grandview, Mountview, Eastview and Eastview Estates.
Pedestrians and motorists are asked to be cautious around street sweeping equipment by staying at least three car lengths away to avoid injury or damage from flying debris. The street sweeping program typically continues into June and these operations are weather dependent.
