Red Deer, Alberta – The Priority Crimes Task Force arrested a man and a woman in a stolen Dodge Neon and seized a firearm, crack cocaine, pills and marijuana shortly before 1 pm yesterday in Red Deer.
The task force investigation led to Red Deer RCMP locating the stolen car in Delburne the morning of September 27 and tracking it into Red Deer. Police waited until the vehicle was safely parked in a lot on 50 Avenue and 58 Street before arresting the male driver and female passenger without incident. RCMP located and seized a shotgun, a small amount of drugs believed to be crack cocaine, a number of pills and marijuana. The Neon had been stolen out of Red Deer on September 24.
33 year old Jonathan Logan Donnelly has been charged with:
- Criminal Code 355(b) – Possession of Property obtained by crime under $5000 X 2
- Criminal Code 145(3) – Breach of recognizance X 3
- Criminal Code 811 – Breach of peace bond X 2
- Criminal Code 117.01(1) – Possession of weapon
- CDSA 4(1) – Possession of illegal substance X 2
Donnelly will appear in court in Red Deer this morning, September 28, at 9:30 am.
30 year old Danelle Amber Rickett has been charged with:
- Criminal Code 733.1(1) – Breach of probation X 3
- CDSA 4(1) – Possession of illegal substance

Priority Crimes Task Force members continue to investigate and will issue updates if further charges are laid.
The Priority Crimes Task Force is made up of members from Red Deer RCMP General Investigative Section (GIS), Sylvan Lake, Innisfail, Blackfalds, Ponoka and Rocky Mountain House RCMP detachments and Lacombe Police Service.
