Red Deer RCMP are focusing their attention on school and playground zones this week as students return to school, and remind drivers of the importance of following posted speed limits, especially in areas where children could be at risk.

2018 marks Red Deer RCMP’s 75th anniversary serving the citizens of Red Deer, and RCMP are celebrating by hosting a Regimental Ball on September 15, with all funds raised going to Red Deer Victim Services and the Red Deer Food Bank.

Red Deer RCMP are investigating an armed robbery the afternoon of September 12 at the convenience store in Sorensen Station after a man pointed a handgun at a staff member in the store and demanded the cash from the till.
