Thank you for your interest in the permanent shelter project, it is a complex project, but we know that with community involvement, technical expertise and Council and Provincial involvement, it will be a built-for-Red Deer solution to support our vulnerable population on their journey to permanent housing. The in-person public input sessions will last approximately 2 hours and will involve conversations about the current criteria in place; whether you agree or disagree with the criteria, and what you believe is missing. Participants will be put into small groups and move throughout eight tables, each facilitated by a member of our administrative team. The information gathered during the in-person and online public input opportunities will be used to select an appropriate site for Council to consider recommending to the Province for final decision.
