We are offering modified day camps this summer for children ages 6-12 years.
Day Camps

Camps are held at the Collicutt Centre, Culture Services and G.H. Dawe Community Centre for summer 2020. Camps will be held in designated areas within our facilities to ensure that all necessary safety precautions can be met. Our modified summer day camps will have reduced camp sizes and a focus on fun while ensuring compliance with all provincial health regulations. Our instructors are well educated, highly trained and tons of fun.

Summer Day Camps Q & A
In order to comply with provincial health regulations and ensure that physical distance is maintained for the health and safety of campers and staff, the preschool camps will not move forward this summer.
The City will offer small camp sizes in three locations throughout the city. Half-Day programming will be available at each facility in both the morning and afternoon for a total of six camp options per week. This will allow us to maintain provincial health regulations with a focus on safety and sanitization. Camps will provide summer activity for children to experience play, creativity and fun while developing relationships and a sense of mastery all while under the safe supervision of a caring adult. Please visit https://looknbook.reddeer.ca/ for camp information including descriptions, dates, locations, cost and registration details.
Camps will be offered in designated areas within three City facilities this summer. This allows us to host programming in the north, central and south-east areas of Red Deer. The facilities will be:
- Collicutt Centre
- G.H. Dawe Community Centre
- Intermediate School - Culture Services
Please visit https://looknbook.reddeer.ca/ for camp information including descriptions, dates, locations, cost and registration details.
The City of Red Deer staff are working hard to prepare for the return of your children to summer day camps. We are currently working through the provincial health regulations and will be using all appropriate PPE, providing hand sanitizer stations at our camp facilities, designating sick rooms, planning physically distant activities, using designated entrances and more. A full plan is being created now and information will be given to parents upon camp start-up.
Before and after care for campers is not available this year. Camp restrictions including regulations on cohorts and staffing restrictions mean that it is not a possibility for this summer season.
Registration will begin on Thursday, June 18 at 12:00 p.m.
