What is Virtual Fitness?

We offer an at-home fitness as an affordable way for citizens to explore fitness from the comfort of their own homes. Everyone is welcome, though these classes are geared towards those 14 and over.

What type of classes are offered?

We are offering a variety of fitness classes that include cardio, strength training and stretching.  Yoga, Fusion and Healthy Aging classes are available for those looking for mild and/or low impact. All cardio and strength style classes offer low and high intensity modifications. Full class descriptions are available on Look n’ Book.

What is the age for virtual fitness classes?

The virtual fitness and yoga classes are geared towards participants 14 years and older. 

What is the cost and how do I register for a virtual fitness class?

The cost of a single class registration is $5 per class. Both outdoor and virtual fitness are included with the purchase of any monthly pass.

Pass purchasing and registration for virtual fitness classes can only be done at https://looknbook.reddeer.ca. No in-person registration / transactions are available at this time.

Are the classes live or pre-recorded and who’s leading?

Classes are streamed live and hosted by the qualified and experienced City instructors that you know and love. Classes are not recorded.

Can I cancel my reservation?

You may cancel your registration up to 24 hours before your class start time. Cancellations within 24 hours of the class start are not refundable. Do I need a Zoom account?

You will need a free Zoom account. If you don’t have one, you can get your account at www.zoom.us/signup

Can I use online credits to register?

Yes, you can now use credits to sign up for classes through your Look ‘n Book account.

Can I apply for the Fee Assistance Program?

Those currently in the Fee Assistance Program can use account balances to register by phone or email only, please contact Recreation at recreation@reddeer.ca for further information. Please note that by phoning or emailing you may not be able to speak with a customer service representative immediately and therefore will not automatically reserve your space in the program. 

Who can see me during the class?

When your camera is turned on, your image may be viewed by the instructor and other participants in the class. If you turn your camera off, no one will see you but you will still see the instructor and other participants who have their camera on. Participants are not permitted to record other participants.

Do I need equipment?

Equipment may be used, but the instructor will provide options for those who do not have equipment available.

What do I do if I don’t receive my link?
When can I register for classes?

Monthly Virtual Fitness Passes and single classes are available now.  Classes can be booked up to seven days in advance.

Please note: Online and Phone Registration will close one hour prior to class.

What time can I book an Activity Reservation?

Activity Reservations can be booked via Look ‘n Book up to seven days in advance, beginning at 7 a.m. When new dates become available, many activity types are in high demand – such as lane swim.
