Building permit applications show increase in August

Building permit applications increased in August, though the total value is lower than in August 2019. January-August 2020 has seen an overall increase in permit values compared to the same period last year, rising from $85.2 million to $105.6 million.

88 permits were issued in August, compared with 75 in August 2019. Notable permits include:

  • Building permit to construct a 5-unit apartment building at 4419 48 Avenue, valued at $410,588.
  • Building permit for City collections storage facility at 4725 49 Street, valued at $373,151.
