Building permit values slow in August

Building permit values slowed in August and year-to-date values remain lower than those in the first eight months of 2018.

Permit values have decreased in all categories; however, the number of permits issued is the same as last year.

Notable permits for August include a $700,000 addition at 8112 Edgar Industrial Drive and interior renovations at Real Canadian Superstore and an office space at 8339 Chiles Industrial Avenue.
