(Red Deer, Alberta)

This Saturday the Capstone community vision will take a major step forward with the opening of a real estate Sales Centre designed to give Central Albertans a preview of the new urban homes being planned for the modernizing downtown neighbourhood. The Sales Centre was built and will be operated by Brad Remington Homes (BRH), and will showcase the developer’s first residential project, Capstone Park, alongside the story of Capstone and its evolution into a riverside, master-planned neighbourhood.

Last October, The City of Red Deer announced the first sale of lands in Capstone to Brad Remington Homes. The deal—representing approximately $36 million of low rise, multi-family development—means 156 new condominiums for the community.

Capstone Park by Brad Remington Homes, will consist of one, two, and three-bedroom condos designed for quality, value, and the lifestyle that homeowner’s desire: riverside access and an accessible city home with modern conveniences literally on their doorstep. Situated at the corner of Alexander Way and Taylor Drive (near Carnival Cinemas) with views of the community, the Sales Centre is set to open by appointment only starting on Saturday March 6, 2021.

In any community, the presentation of real estate product is a critical step in the sale of homes and adoption of the neighbourhood vision. The Sales Centre allows real estate buyers and prospective homeowners the opportunity to become familiar with the builder’s processes, site plans, layouts, home styles, materials, finishes and other options.

“We are extremely excited to introduce Capstone Park” noted Bryan Logel of BRH Sales and Marketing. “Since last fall, our team has been busy finalizing the building design, floorplans, and aesthetic. We received our development permit in January, and immediately turned our attention to preparing the Sales Centre.”

“For the next six weeks our team will be focused on educating interested consumers and real estate professionals on the merits of home ownership with Brad Remington Homes. On April 17, 2021 we will officially release all units in Capstone Park for sale on a first-come, first served basis”, he added.

Last year The City of Red Deer conducted extensive research on the wants and needs of the future resident of Capstone – dubbed the ‘Cap-Citizen’. These future residents are curious, active types, who are social, and community minded and are more likely to be younger aspiring professionals or adventurous empty-nesters. In all demographics, future residents aspire to live alongside the Red Deer River.

“We feel comfortable that Red Deerians will see in Brad Remington Homes Capstone Park what we see in this aspiring community – an opportunity for exceptional riverside living in a connected, highly amenitized community”, says John Sennema, Manager of Land & Economic Development at The City of Red Deer. “This is the first of many residential and commercial developments planned for Capstone”.

A 3D animation of Capstone, released by The City in October, depicts how the community might look and feel in 2040. At buildout, Capstone will be home to 5,000 new residents living in some 2,000 condominiums and townhomes.

The Capstone Park Sales Centre will be open starting Saturday March 6 and will operate six days a week from Noon – 5:00 p.m., and will be closed on Fridays and all holidays.
