Roadway Construction

The City of Red Deer maintains a paved roadway network of approximately 1,240 lane-kilometres; a distance similar to that which separates our city with Brandon, Manitoba. Theses roadways are inspected, tested, and assessed for condition and strength and are prioritized annually for maintenance, repair or reconstruction within our available budget. Applying the right treatments to roads at the right time includes undertaking preventative maintenance activities with the goal of maintaining the quality of the pavement and maximizing its useful life.
