Located at 4707 Fountain Drive, Setters Place at Great Chief Park offers year round sporting options. When it's warm, find a regulation sized football / soccer field. During the colder months, cruise around the natural surface speed skating oval.

Setters Place at Great Chief Park features:

  • a synthetic regulation sized sports field lined for football and soccer;
  • a three storey pavilion building with team change rooms and media/timekeeper area;
  • 400m outdoor natural ice speed skating oval constructed on top of the artificial turf. 

Booking Opportunities

Setters Place at Great Chief Park can be booked year-round. We have the following amenities:

Synthetic sports field:

  • Outdoor synthetic sports field – regulation sized for soccer and football
  • Open Spring to Fall

Outdoor natural ice speed skating oval:

  • 400m outdoor speed skating oval
  • No pucks or hockey sticks are permitted
  • Open December – March (weather dependent)

Pavilion building:

  • Barrier free access
  • Canteen
  • Media/timekeeper area
  • Gathering space
  • Ideal for meetings, conferences and training or Special Events
  • approximately 90 seat capacity

Councillor Chad Krahn was sworn in during today’s special council meeting. The Regular City Council Meeting started at 10:30 a.m. with a two-hour closed meeting. The open portion of the Council meeting began at 1 p.m.
