With some exciting updates for the 2026-2028 Community Culture Development Fund (CCDF) funding cycle, The City of Red Deer is inviting not-for-profit organizations delivering culture programs and services to attend information sessions to learn about these changes as the grant opens for applications on August 18.

To learn what’s new, project eligibility info and step-by-step guidance on how to apply, join us for one of our upcoming sessions:

  • In-Person (Mosaic Room – Culture Services, 5205 48 Ave):
    • Tuesday, July 22, 7 to 8 p.m.
    • Wednesday, August 20, 7 to 8 p.m.
  • Virtual Session:
    • Monday, September 22, 7 to 8 p.m.

Key changes this cycle include:

  • Development stream now supports funding for three-year projects only to ensure full allocation of grant resources.
  • Opportunities stream has expanded to include events and other emerging cultural projects; ideal for pilot initiatives or creative one-time events. These changes will take effect in January 2026.
  • Clarity on eligible and ineligible expenses, project criteria, and evaluation standards to support fairness and transparency.

Whether you’re a returning applicant or brand new to CCDF, these sessions will provide the latest updates, along with helpful tips and strategies to strengthen your application. Parking is free downtown after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and light refreshments will be served.
