Beat the Heat pop-up spray parks returns for another year of fun

(Red Deer, Alberta)

Summer fun is making a splash in Red Deer once again! Back by popular demand, Beat the Heat pop-up spray parks are returning to neighbourhoods across the city every Thursday evening throughout July and August.

Families are invited to join Red Deer Emergency Services as they transform fire engines into mobile spray parks, turning your local green space into a fun-filled water playground. Community partners will also be joining in on the fun to provide glitter tattoos, police cruiser tours, and other goodies.

Pop-up spray parks will run from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the following locations for summer 2025:

  • July 3 – Aspen Heights Elementary (5869 69 St.)
  • July 10 – Davenport Park (239 Dempsey St.)
  • July 17 – Kentwood Park (168 Kendrew Dr.)
  • July 24 – St. Francis Assisi (321 Lindsay Ave.)
  • July 31 – Father Henri Voisin (60 Clearview Dr.)
  • August 7 – Highland Green Community Centre (65 Halladay Ave.)
  • August 14 – Joseph Welsh/Eastview Activity Centre (4030 Embury Cres.)
  • August 21 – Bower-Kin Community Centre (85 Boyce St.)
  • August 28 – St. Theresa of Avila School (190 Glendale Blvd.)

Events depend on both weather conditions and the availability of Emergency Services crews. As a result, events may be delayed or cancelled. For the most up-to-date information, please check The City’s social media channels every Thursday for updates.

Please note that there are no public washrooms available at event locations.
