REPORTS:
Long Term Financial Roadmap
- Council will receive the Financial Roadmap Report on Monday; a long-term financial sustainability plan developed in partnership with KPMG. The report outlines key observations and recommendations to help modernize financial systems, strengthen financial leadership, and enhance data and reporting practices across the organization.
- The report also includes tools such as a 20-year budget scenario model to support future planning. Administration is recommending that Council receive the report and support implementation, with quarterly updates to be provided to the Audit Committee.
HAF2 Engagement Update
- An update on Red Deer’s Housing Accelerator Fund 2 (HAF2) project and public engagement will be presented to City Council on Monday. The information report outlines current progress, preliminary public feedback, and the federal funding conditions tied to the $12 million grant.
BYLAWS:
Intermunicipal Subdivision Appeal Board Bylaw (Second and Third Reading):
- The City of Red Deer is updating its Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (ISDAB) Bylaw to align with the new Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP) jointly developed with Red Deer County. The updated Bylaw 3732/2025 replaces the 2008 version, modernizing processes to improve scheduling efficiency, increase board member availability, and introduce new provisions.
