The City of Red Deer is providing an update on the Community Culture Development Fund (CCDF), which supports local arts, culture, and heritage initiatives that contribute to community vibrancy and quality of life for Red Deerians.
The Community Culture Development Fund includes two funding streams:
- Culture Opportunities, which supports new and emerging projects such as capacity building, specialized equipment purchases, first-time events, pilot projects, and emergency project funding. This funding is available until annual allocations are fully committed.
- Culture Development, which supports longer‑term projects through a structured, multi‑year funding cycle currently underway and concluding in 2028.
Funding for the Culture Opportunities stream has now been fully allocated for 2026, and no further applications will be accepted this year.
The City has also released its latest Culture Development funding cycle report, highlighting funded organizations, projects, and the impact of multi‑year investments in Red Deer’s arts and culture sector from 2023 to 2025.
CCDF investments contribute to community connection, cultural development, and quality of life in Red Deer, reflecting the responsible use of public funds to support local arts, culture, and heritage.
