A new agreement with the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 1190 was accepted and ratified by Red Deer City Council today. IAFF Local 1190 represents approximately 250 employees in emergency services working for The City of Red Deer.
The new agreement is effective January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2025, with a wage increase totalling up to 12.1 per cent. The agreement includes the following wage provisions:
- Annual general wage increases:
- 2023: 4.50%
- 2024: 4.10%
- 2025: 3.50%
The new collective agreement will apply retroactively to January 1, 2023.
