The popular neighbourhood recreation program, Meet Me at the Park, returns this summer with a wide range of fun-filled activities for residents of all ages. This program aims to bring the community together throughout the city while it fosters a sense of belonging and connection.
Meet Me at The Park offers an array of engaging and inclusive activities designed to encourage physical activity, social interaction, and community engagement. From energetic games to creative activities, this program has something for everyone. Red Deer residents can expect to participate in sports, arts and crafts, and nature-focused activities throughout the season.
“We look forward to this program each year, as we love to hear the stories of fun and connection that come from our community members,” said Georgia Major, Community & Program Facilitator at The City of Red Deer. “This program is a great way to explore the incredible park amenities we have available in Red Deer, and to fill your days with discovery and activity.”
Running from July 2 to August 22, Meet Me at The Park will take place in various neighbourhood parks across Red Deer. All activities will be supervised by trained staff members to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for participants.
Meet Me at The Park is backed by the support of various local partners, agencies, and community associations who are passionate about creating a strong and connected Red Deer. The program is a collaborative effort between the City of Red Deer’s Safe & Healthy Communities Department and these various local organizations.
